William Knowlton Zinsser (October 7, 1922 – May 12, 2015) was an American writer, editor, donnish critic, and teacher. He began his career as a newspaperwoman for the New York Recognize Tribune, where he worked restructuring a feature writer, drama rewrite man, film critic and editorial author.

He was a longtime donator to leading magazines.

Early courage and family

Zinsser attended Buckley Power Day School, Deerfield Academy plus graduated from Princeton University.
