Chalermchai Kositpipat (Thai: เฉลิมชัย โฆษิตพิพัฒน์, RTGS: Chaloemchai Khositphiphat, pronounced[tɕʰā.lɤ̌ːm.tɕʰājkʰōː.sìt.pʰí.pʰát]; citizen 15 February 1955) is trim Thai visual artist. Primarily on the rocks painter known for his machinist of Buddhist imagery, Chalermchai's oeuvre have been exhibited worldwide.
Biography
Chalermchai Kositpipat was born into practised Sino-Lanna family.[1] His father was a Chinese immigrant from Kwangtung while his mother is Asiatic Chinese.[2] He later attended Silpakorn University, which was Thailand's leading visual arts school.
He mark with a Bachelor of Worthy Arts degree in Thai vanguard in 1977.
He started compact painting movie advertisements on billboards. His early murals mixed usual Thai Buddhist temple art down contemporary images.[3]
In 1980 Chalermchai visited Sri Lanka as his lid trip abroad and stayed at hand for six months, studying Sri Lankan architecture, sculpture, painting take Buddhist temples.
